NITEO Africa is a registered nonprofit with a vision for building bright and hopeful futures for children and families through the gift of literacy.
Before using our platform, we kindly ask you to read and agree to the following Terms of Service and our privacy policy. By accessing and using Niteo Africa’s Micro-credential Learning Portal, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms of Use (Terms) govern your use of our website and all materials therein. Please read these Terms carefully and contact us if you have any questions or complaints. By clicking “I accept”, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including policies in these Terms. By using our Services, and service subscriptions, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of this platform
You are granted permission to use NITEO Africa’s website and/or subscribe to any of our services only if you:
- are 18 and older
- comply with these terms and all applicable policies
- use NITEO Africa’s Micro-credential Learning Portal for personal and non-commercial use only. You may not use the website for any other purpose, including any commercial purpose, without our express prior written consent
- agree not to copy, distribute, or reproduce any content or materials from the platform without our express written permission
Violation of our Terms of Use may result in your access to all of the services being disabled, suspended, or terminated. Some features on the website require you subsequently provide us with updated, accurate, and complete information.

By accessing the Website and/or providing information to the Website, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of certain information following this Privacy Policy.
What personal information do we collect?
Our third-party vendors collect certain information regarding your use of www.niteo.org, such as your IP address and browser type. Your session and the pages you visit on www.niteo.org will be tracked, but you will remain anonymous. We may use your IP address to identify the general geographic area from which you are accessing www.niteo.org. We connect data from different systems but do not link IP addresses to personal information. We may also collect other information as described in this policy.
Why do we collect it?
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

Analytics: Who we share your data with and how long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Submitted assignments, comments and reviews
Only our NITEO staff and team members have access to your submissions. Your assignments are automatically deleted from our platform after it’s been graded. Your ideas and submission will not be shared or exported from our platform in any circumstances. We encourage users to also protect their intellectual properties using legal means available to them in their country. Your course reviews are publicly displayed on our website and they might be used for marketing purposes.

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. Any such changes will be posted on this page.
